CLOT and Honor the Gift to launch collaborative collection at ComplexCon
Hip-hop fashion and music convention ComplexCon is set for a sixth edition at the Long Beach Convention Center from November 19 to 20. This year, CLOT will be joining the line-up of fashion brands from Nike to Human Made, Awake NY, Converse and more, with the launch of a collaborative collection with Honor the Gift, set to exclusively release at the two-day event.
Touching on the cultural origins of founders Edison Chen and Russell Westbrook, the CLOT x Honor the Gift collection pays respect to those who hustle in the Inner Cities of the East and West, overcoming systemic obstacles along the way like roses that grow from concrete. To strengthen the message, flowers native to California and China are featured throughout the designs, all depicted nestling in a concrete vase wrapped in barbed wire as a visual metaphor to those who honor their origins and continue to rise. Handwritten letters from Westbrook and Chen have also been incorporated as an overlay, further contributing to the message and the design of this new collection.
